About us

   Almost all devices realize their functionality in the interface. Semiconductor device is its striking example, and the present laboratory aims to achieve, by the interface and device, the physical properties and functions difficult or impossible, in the thin film single and single crystal.

   In recent years, we proposed and developed the electric double layer transistor based on the fusion theories of semiconductor electronics and electrochemistry, and even condensed matter physics, and we have realized the physical properties and functions impossible to achieve in the solid conventional devices such as electronic phase control, including the electric-field-induced superconductivity. To develop more and more such research and create electronic function theory "Iontronics" by ion motion-array control is the purpose of this laboratory.
