About Us
The University of Tokyo Iwasa Lab.starts from 2010 with the move of Prof. Yoshihiro Iwasa from Institute for Materials Research, Tohoku University.
Iwasa Lab. also belongs to QPEC (Quantum-Phase Electronics Center). Our main forcus is on the control of the elctric phase by the electric field.
We focus on the electric double layer formed at the liquid/solid surfaces. This structure offers a extremely high carrier density, leading to novel physics and new functional devices.
Our main researches are (I) explore novel superconductivity by electrochemical method, and (II) field-effect quantum phase control with transistor structure.
